I really hate Lady Gaga and the mind controlling hypnotic rythms of her alleged songs, but hot damn this is funny as hell.

Random Thoughts for 11/4/09 [04 Nov 2009|07:43pm]
[ mood | blah ]
[ music | Faith No More - The Real Thing | Powered by Last.fm ]

Getting ready to watch The Yankees end the Phillie's one year Dynasty so I'll make this quick.

If you haven't read my latest column you should since it's a good one (but when are they never a good one). Links in the post below this one I think.

Just heard something that would be funny if it wasn't about this house and situation we might in the near future. I won't bore people with details, but lets just say if it all comes to pass then the hell with another part of my father's side of the family. I sometimes wonder how the hell I could be related to people are who are so backstabbing.

The election was yesterday and the NYC Mayor's race was proof that polls don't mean shit. Bloomberg nearly lost it because most people thought he had the election in the bag. Well he did, but that's besides the point. I ended up voting for him despite the fact that I think he's a control freak and a liar. But those qualities are better then the ones of his main rival. It's a lesser of two evil's deal. I was tempted to vote for the Green party guy who I believe was this crazy Reverend who had been campaigning on the subways or this other guy who was part of the "Rent is to high" party. Maybe after today's events I should have voted for him.

As usual I am contemplating life and where it all went wrong. Since I pretty much know the answer to that, it's time to put the train back on the tracks so to speak and get it moving again.

Other then that I have nothing.

My latest column: Hogan Does It Again [02 Nov 2009|02:05am]
[ mood | accomplished ]

http://nodq.com/columns/259151922.shtml

I'm back once again with another column. This time I give my thoughts on the bombshell of Hulk Hogan joining TNA and what it means and if TNA can actually do something good for once. I also talk about Shane McMahon leaving the WWE, The WWE's priorities, RAW being stale, Smackdown being good, praise for the Big Show, and some other stuff.

All that and more and as always feedback/death threats are welcomed.

Random Thoughts for 10-22-2009 [22 Oct 2009|06:28pm]
[ mood | blah ]
[ music | The persistent sound of Tinnitus in my head ]

First off after a falling out, I quit being part of Hifihits.com so for the time being I am off the air.

Secondly I am thinking of doing a new column of sorts that will thankfully not be wrestling or politics related. I'm thinking of calling it Phantom's Retro Review's or something like that since it would be reviews of movies that I have strictly on VHS or my new love Laser disc. It would be on Lethal Wrestling's redheaded step child sister site Lethal Entertainment.
Click for plenty of offensive and NSFW humor.
http://www.lethalwrestling.com/le/wordpress/

I'll eventually post a list of some of the movies I plan on reviewing. I love video tapes and the Laser disc is just a forgotten relic. But I'll keep mine working till the bitter end.

Other then all of that there is not much going on. After things getting way to fuzzy and blurry at night, I'm finally going to get my eyes checked in a couple of weeks. I don't drive so it's not like my new found lack of being able to see things far away is a problem. But it's kinda annoying when your on the bed and you have to stare at the clock radio for a couple of mins while the numbers come into focus.

I have nothing else at the moment. I'm just feeling very worn down thanks to a lingering little bug I have in my system.

Or it could be the weather. 70 today, back to 50 and then the 40's next week.

My New Column: Reaching My Breaking Point [25 Sep 2009|06:55am]
[ mood | tired ]

http://nodq.com/columns/255882137.shtml

I am back with my latest column and it took way to long to write as usual. I chalk this up to Wrestling boring the hell out of me. Topics include that, RAW being a black hole for careers, Brian Danielson and Nigel McGuiness signing with the WWE, me calling Dixie Carter and ignorant slut, why the Hell in a cell PPV is gonna suck, some Cena bashing, and my thoughts on the report that Bret Hart MAYBE might want to come back to the WWE.

Plus I give a huge plug to a new fed down in Atlanta that might just save wrestling in the coming decade. So all that and more in this weeks Rant. As usual all feedback/death threats are welcome.

Somethings On Tonight...I forget what it is [13 Sep 2009|01:28pm]
[ mood | confused ]
[ music | Abacab by Genesis ]

Yeah it's Sunday and there's probably something on tonight. It might be some sort of wrestling thing but if there was I'm sure they would have promoted it by now.

Oh I know what it is, it's the MTV Video Music Awards. I forgot they still were doing those things. On ONTD there's a "leaked" set list of winners and performers tonight. I might watch some of it just to see how much of a trainwreck it is. Apparently the Lady Gaga is winning the Video Of The Year for something called Poker Face. MTV in true desperation have an award for best video that should have won a moonman but didn't an apparently Radiohead's Karma Police is according to the list. I voted for Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers"Into the Great Wide Open" but Foo Fighters "Everlong" and U2's "Where The Streets Have No Name" were a close second.

Here's some videos that blow away anything that's nominated or will win tonight )

Dealing with a death this morning [02 Sep 2009|08:31pm]
[ mood | tired ]

So yeah this morning around 6:40 I hear the phone ringing downstairs and when I heard my Aunt answer and she didn't hang up right away I figured it must of been something bad and sure enough a few mins later she comes upstairs and says my Uncle Bernard died.

My Uncle Bernard was in a home, he had a very bad stroke about 12 years or so ago. He honestly was never properly rehabilitated and over the years he got worse off to the point where he couldn't live downstairs anymore due to him having lots of problems walking and standing upright. We don't know what happened at the moment. I can only assume it was a heart attack.

We called my father who was at work and I've never heard him react the way he did. I mean he was really shocked.

I am honestly running on fumes right now cause I got next to no sleep. I went with my Aunt to the home and we bagged up his things. He was still in the bed and it's never a pleasant sight to walk in and see someone like that. It wasn't gruesome, but I could at least tell that rigor was setting in. Wake and Funeral are set for next week. It's amazing how he died almost 4 years to the day that my Uncle Johnny did. He's going to be buried in a cemetary in New Jersey. I think in the same plot as my Uncle or close to it. I don't know what's beyond this world, I hope it's something. I have to think he's in a better place now. Reunited with my Grandparents, and my Uncles Tommy, Andy, and Johnny.

It's funny though, I went outside at like 6:20am to see if there were any worthwhile cloud shots and it was a beautiful clear blue sky with the sun just rising. It's always beautiful days that turn out bad.

My New Column Is Finally Up, Go Read It [19 Aug 2009|09:35pm]
[ mood | uncomfortable ]

http://nodq.com/columns/252738145.shtml

After an unexpected delay of a month I am back with my glorious column and it's chock full of stuff including Kurt Angle and why I think he needs a vacation before it's to late, What Dixie should do now that Jarrett is gone from TNA Creative, some thoughts on Paul Heyman and Gabe Sapolsky, and my thoughts on some current guest hosts for RAW and rumored ones and some names I think the WWE should get.

All that and more and I must post this before I collapse into my chair because the pain in my hip from that damn sciatica is tremendous right now.

So read it and let me know what you think. Hatemail is always appreciated.

An angry blog inspired by that nitwit Chris Matthews [11 Aug 2009|07:18pm]
[ mood | annoyed ]

http://tinyurl.com/m7ovqf

I was flipping through the channels and got really pissed off watching Hardball with Chris Matthews when he and Gov. Ed Randel of Pennsylvania started branding anti-obama care people are nut cases, birthers, and racists. It's very hot here in New York so I let off some steam and this quick blog is the result and rest assured there are more people like me out there who are just sick and tired of all this shit.

It doesn't even matter if you are for or against Healthcare. What matters here is a propaganda machine is full swing and MSNBC with people like Matthews and Olberman are at the helm at the behest of the DNC.

A mini update [01 Aug 2009|02:40am]
[ mood | tired ]

It seems I'm only updating this thing when I have something to shill. Well I do, but that's probably gonna be up on Sunday I would imagine.

It's just been really funky here weather wise. If it's not monsooning out then it's muggy as hell. Me and oppressive heat do not mix well so you know that's just fun. I mean I get so hot I could jump into a pool filled with Ice and I still wouldn't cool down. Ah the joys of being on a drug that causes you to sweat buckets AND retain body heat at the same time.

Other then that I've been moving along best that I can. I'm going to a meet and greet here in Brooklyn later in the morning to meet Mick Foley. An autograph and picture are included in the tickets we got so it's a good deal. I'll probably put the pics on my myspace and facebook page. Of course I'm sure some nameless insecure people will use the pics as fodder to brighten their meaningless little lives. But I don't really give a shit, I'm meeting the Hardcore Legend.

Only problem is it's a little before 3 am right now and I'll have to be up at 8ish to leave after 9. Ah well I've gone on fumes before so what's another night right.

I do have to get my eyes checked though. Things are way to fuzzy at night plus I have to go to the dentist on Tuesday thanks to a chipped tooth. I haven't had a damn chipped tooth since I was like four or five. Luckily its the back and not the front.

Ah well I shall report back later to the trip to the El Caribe.

My new column is up: Well That Was Stupid [30 Jun 2009|04:45am]
[ mood | tired ]

http://thewrestlingvoice.com/columns/phantomlord/headlines/248357214.shtml

This column was almost called The Nevereneder because it was so damn long. But it was a long week of topics.

Stuff covered includeds, my minimal thoughts on Misawa's death, TNA pissing me off yet again, The Donald Trump fiasco, WWE Studios lulz, The Miz gets buried and redeemed, The Undertakers Old Lady getting the womens belt, and Mark Henry pinning Randy Orton.

I could have kept going, but at that point I threw in the towel. So do read and let me know what you think.

Feedback and hatemail are always welcome.

I found this on Blabbermouth. Some guy made a Power Metal version of "I Kissed A Girl" with Katy Perry's vocals and some shredding guitars and blistering drums.

Fuck the dance remixes, this is where the real money is.
